NDBEDP Centralized Database User Guide

Notes

Notes provide a place to record additional information that may be helpful during the review of program activities. They can be added to most records in the Centralized Database to document explanations, special circumstances, or other details that do not fit in the standard fields. Each note can contain up to 8,000 characters and is linked to the record where it was created. If information relates to a specific cost item, enter it in the cost item's description field instead of a note. Notes do not replace required supporting documentation, but they provide useful context for the Reimbursement Manager, FCC Administrator, and other authorized users during reimbursement reviews and program oversight.

If you need to add information specific to a cost, enter details into the Description field for that cost item instead of adding a note.

Files containing a note will display a red dot in the upper right-hand corner of the Notes tab. This red dot will change to show the number of notes available when you hover over the Notes tab.
