Program Year

Program Year may only be accessed by the FCC Administrator and the Reimbursement Manager.

The Program Year is the annual funding and reporting cycle. It runs from July 1 through June 30 of the following year and aligns with the Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) Fund year.

At the start of each Program Year, the FCC Administrator establishes the program budget, which includes funding for the Centralized Database, National Outreach, and state allocations. Throughout the year, the FCC manages these budgets, oversees reimbursement claims, and monitors required reporting.

Reimbursement claims can only be submitted for an open Program Year. Once the FCC Administrator closes or locks the Program Year, no additional claims can be created or submitted. Overall, the Program Year provides the structure for managing NDBEDP funding, reimbursements, reporting, and program oversight.
